10 Lemonade Hacks to Get You Through the Most Scorching Summer Days

Who’s ready for some sangria lemonade?!

It doesn’t matter what date’s on the calendar—it isn’t officially summer until you’ve had your first glass of lemonade. It’s the quintessential thirst-quencher for a 90-degree day, and it gets even more refreshing when you give your glass one of these simple twists.

You can use store-bought lemonade, or start with a classic base recipe. Here’s ours:

Basic Lemonade

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan. Turn off the heat and add sugar, stirring until it’s dissolved. Pour it into a large pitcher, stirring in 2 cups of lemon juice and up to a gallon of cold water, adding the H2O gradually until it gets to the level of sweet-tartness you prefer.

Once you have that recipe mastered, try these easy additions to take the drink to the next level. (Don’t forget to pin our cheatsheet at the end, so you don’t have to search like crazy for these ideas when you need a fast drink for your next party.)

While you’re at it, you could add just about any pureed fruit: blueberries, raspberries, strawberries. What are you waiting for?!
